FAQ'S
I offer a hybrid, integrative approach. Sessions blend sex therapy, life coaching, somatic awareness, emotional processing, and evidence-based models like EFT, CBT, and the Biopsychosocial Model.
You receive both therapeutic insight and practical tools you can use immediately.
Absolutely. My practice is intentionally LGBTQ2S+ inclusive, queer-affirming, and rooted in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed care. All identities, orientations, relationship structures, and expressions are welcome here.
Not at all. Many clients come to me unsure, confused, or disconnected from desire.
Part of our work together is exploring your inner landscape—clarifying your needs, wants, boundaries, and identity at a pace that feels safe.
Yes. I support couples and multi-partner constellations seeking better communication, intimacy, connection, understanding, and pleasure.
All relationship structures are welcome, including monogamous, polyamorous, and consensually non-monogamous partnerships.
You’re not alone. Sexuality and identity can evolve across life stages, relationships, stress, trauma, parenthood, and personal growth.
Here, exploration is normalized, supported, and guided with compassion—never pressure.
Not at all. Many clients are single or exploring their relationship with themselves. Your personal healing, pleasure, and confidence journey is valid on its own.
Yes. All sessions are private, confidential, and held to professional ethical standards. Your safety and privacy are always top priority.
I support clients with:
• Low desire or mismatched desire
• Shame, guilt, or body image challenges
• Pleasure + confidence building
• Identity exploration
• Relationship communication
• Nervous system dysregulation
• Sexual pain, trauma recovery, and emotional blocks
• Reconnection after parenthood or major life shifts
• And more—every journey is unique.
That’s okay. Most people don’t!
I guide you with gentle prompts, tools, and language that make expression feel possible and safe. You never have to “perform” or know the perfect words.
Unfortunately, sex therapy is not covered by insurance plans in Canada, even when provided by a certified practitioner. At this time, insurance companies do not classify sex therapy as a billable mental health service.
Yes — you will receive a detailed receipt, but please note that most Canadian insurance providers will not reimburse sex therapy, even with documentation. It’s always best to check your individual policy to understand your coverage.
Currently, Canadian insurance companies only reimburse services provided by specific regulated mental health providers (such as RSWs, psychologists, psychotherapists, etc.) within the scope that the insurer deems eligible.
Sex therapy, even when trauma-informed and clinical in nature, is not recognized as a reimbursable service category, which prevents coverage.
Yes—sex therapy is evidence-based, informed by clinical models, and focused on emotional, psychological, and somatic wellbeing.
While not covered by insurance, it is still a professional therapeutic service grounded in recognized frameworks such as EFT, CBT, Sensate Focus, and the Biopsychosocial Model.
Yes. To make services more accessible, I offer flexible payment options, including:
• Pay-per-session
• Two-part payment plans for programs
• Monthly support bundles (optional)
If you need additional accommodations, we can discuss what feels manageable
Some clients choose to claim their receipts under health, wellness, or personal development on their taxes, but this varies widely and is not guaranteed.
I recommend speaking with your accountant for guidance.
Occasionally, I offer reduced-rate sessions or community-access spaces. These are limited and announced through my newsletter and social channels.
